2007 Eclipse Spyder roof upholstery problem?

Anyone else out there experiencing the inside upholstery to be coming apart from the roof? I bought the car in April, and this began happening almost immediately. The roof lining started puling away from the back window. The top itself also seems to have already begun to fade. I live in NM, so the heat and sun may be a challenge, however, I find this completely unacceptable for this $30K car. The Mitsubishi dealer is “looking into it” but I have not heard a thing yet. LOVE MY CAR THOUGH!! Appreciate any feedback.

Re-read all warranty areas about the convertible top.

Many are not warrantied far cause many are not actually done by a factory but by outside sources. Example would be is that all Jaguars are build over seas yet all the ones to be marked as convertible are shipped to Cincinnati, Ohio and are then hacked up and turned into convertibles. Then re-shipped out all over the world to dealers as factory convertibles.

If they do not warranty it or take care of it find a Uphulstry shop in the yellow pages and have them look at it. Ask around also to see who else has used these same companies to find out who is the best in town. Might not hurt to have them look at it now to make sure it won’t get worse.

Best action is to get it fixed as asap cause the longer one has problems the more it costs to fix and it replace the entire top can reach into the thousands.
