Is it really possible to make money playing poker?

My fellow employee just quit his job because he decided he could make more money playing poker. I haven’t checked up on how he’s been doing, but I’d **** to think he could make more money gambling then working a job with a guaranteed salaray.

Is there any specific legislation or law against a boss witholding wages from an employee?

Not to go into details, but i was forced to quit my job without working my notice period as circumstances became intolerable, but now my ex-boss is refusing to pay me wages that i have worked for.

I am asking for specific legislation or laws that state he cant do this, and if possible i need the ‘breach of contract’ law also. Please dont write yes or no, i need specific details please.

Would you vote for the decriminalization of marijuana?

Would you vote for marijuana to be dricimalized (not legalized)? This means it would be legal to possess up to a certain amount, to grow it at your home, and to smoke it in the privacy of your home.
All laws applicable to alcohol would be imposed on marijuana, after its decriminalization. Basically, it will keep a lot of young kids from being labeled a criminal and introduced to the system. It would give a lot of people a fighting chance to get a job they really need, and it could quite possibly stimulate our economy.

I have a job and health insurance thru my job, thank God, but let’s say I lose that job, with today’s economy you just don’t know anymore. Just to see, I called three health insurers just to see if I could buy my own health cooverage. ALL THREE TOLD ME NO!! BECAUSE I HAVE A PRE EXISTING CONDITION. So am I supposed to be without very much needed health coverage!!!!! How am I supposed to get it????

To the people who say science is a matter of “faith”?

Can you name one commonly accepted scientific principle other than evolution that you feel is a “faith, not facts” issue?

I’m just wondering because Fish has said several times today that science is a matter of faith and that he’ll keep his faith and we can keep ours. I’m curious to understand what we’re talking about.

Is gravity a faith thing? How about the earth being round, not flat? Or heliocentricity? What about thermodynamics? Ohm’s law? Kirchhoff’s principles? If you don’t believe in those things, should you still be accepted by the scientific community? Can you get a job designing airplanes if you think gravity is a matter of faith?

I’m all confused.

It seems to me that only the people who don’t want evolution to be true call science “a faith thing” simply because they want to discredit it?
Wolfgame, I never said there wasn’t a difference. I’m asking you to name a single theory besides evolution that you think is a faith issue.

how can I cover up a tattoo on my wrist?

I need to cover up my tat on my wrist for a job that I just got…I have some braclets but it is on my right wrist (my dominate hand) and gets in the way. I also tried a type of make up that a girl at MAC recomended, but it would not dry and the make up got all over everything….PLEASE give me some suggestions! Thanks!

What website can I go to that will let 15 and older help with community service?

I am almost 15 and I am trying to find a place where i can do community service *Since it is good on a college application/ scholarship* I thought I would do some community service before I get a job. Anybody have any ideas where I could look.
I would rather help with needy children, elderly people, animals, or with the planet. If anybody has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

How can I make more tips working at a Night Club in Australia?

I earn about $20 in tips working on a Saturday night, but some of the guys and girls will get about $50. This is my first bar job and sometimes I notice when I’m concentrating on making drinks I don’t smile, but I find it hard to smile all the time.

What would make you tip a bartender in a night club?
