Does anyone get itching with lupus?
June 5th, 2009 Posted by: admin
hi
2 Commentsive had bright red splotches around my eyes that started with a scab that fell off and scabbed again and then all around my eyes red splotches that itch
The DRs for a year have no clue what this is as no ointment has worked thusfar.
Finally a specialist is in the process of taking an ANA sample from me ill get the test results back next week
so
1. Does lupus itch?
and
2. Do you have to be in the middle of a flare up for the ANA to come back positive?
Thanks !!

Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis, now right kidney failure. Could they all be connected? Lupus maybe?
May 22nd, 2009 Posted by: admin
I am only 27 years old and have all these problems. I am about to start seeing a reumatologist and get tested. I’m worried I may have Lupus or something. I also have some fibromyalgia. My kidney has failed because of my ureter was completely blocked. (No stone) Could that cause the other problems? I have been having pain in my side for three years but no doctor has paid attention to me until now because I didn’t have any insurance. Sucks, huh. What happened to being human? Anyway, my wonderful doctors now are working with me but I was just sitting here looking up info and was wondering what other thought. Thanks

What things in my home could be causing a reoccurring face rash?
April 29th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I haven’t used any new detergents, soaps, anything like that. I also have been to an internal specialist, an MD and another dr and no one can figure out what is causing this rash under my eye. They have thought maybe an auto immune disorder or lupus but it doesn’t look like the typical “lupus” rash. I’m puzzled at what makes this rash keep coming back. Any guesses?

Please help-Multiple Sclerosis risk?

I am a (apparently) healthy 28 year old female. I never really knew my father’s family very well but learned today for the first time that my father’s sister has MS, and so did my grandmother (father’s mother). To create a stranger twist, my first cousin (aunt’s only daughter) has Lupus, as well as some other auto-immune diseases. This has all scared me, as you can understand, and I have been online tonight trying to do some research on whether I need to be afraid for my future or not. My father did not have MS but then again I know it is not as common in men. I wonder if I should be as concerned about a parents’sibling having the disease as much as I would be concerned if my own parent did??
I would love ANY opinions out there from anyone that has experience with this, but particularly from any MD’s or experts of any sort that may see this.
Also, I might add that, although this may be trivial, both my aunt and her mother were at one point very heavy drinkers and were treated for alcoholism. Any connection?? My father’s family in general has always abused themselves and been very unhealthy.
I appreciate any answers.

April 6th, 2009 Posted by: admin
My daily calorie consumption stays between 1200 to 1500 calories a day but I am not loosing any weight. I have Lupus and fibromylagia so I have significant joint and muscle pain and have no cartiledge in my knees. I work at a desk all day and don’t get much exercise while at work.
